In the past decade "Monday Boullion Night" has become a staple at Brasserie Creole, one of first Haitian club/cabaret established in New York in the mid 70s. In the spirit of this cultural tradition, 1st klass gave a special performance at Brasserie last Monday.
1st klass stage presence was pretty good. The band new line up, which include new singer Moise Juste, has been together for nearly three months. They looked comfortable and seemed to be having fun with each other. Outside of a few technical difficulties, 1st klass held their own ground. 1st Klass is very promising group. Although the New York HMI circle is a very tough breeding ground for all upcoming konpa bands, 1st klass seems poise to take the next leap ( giving time to develop better chemistry).
The group sophomore album, Pale Ave'm, which is due out in June, is the next step in the band’s evolution
According to Lobertho, 1st Klass keyboard player and maestro, the band is scheduled to release a new single "Pale ave'm" sometimes in May. The album will feature guest appearances by Reginald Cange, Sanders Solon, and Shedley Abraham..
