DOZZ

It has been ten years since this musical band was formed. To the delight of all fans of Kompa rhythm, under the leadership of Pierre-Henry Jospitre and co-founders Georges Duperval and Hubert Florent along with the original members of the group, Michael Célestin, Pierrette Templier, Nathaniel Villefranche, Alix Tiphaine, Mario Egalité, Ervé Pétion, Roland Chassagne, Maximilien Francois & Théophille Jadotte and other guest artists they released their first CD ‘Ou sé la vi.' Hometown was New York and the band was DOZZ.

Having only played live in various islands in the Caribbean and France during their short lifespan, locally, the band was missed. Due to Pierre-Henry’s other business obligations, the group’s performances came to a full halt. Leaving only their first CD as vestige, silence set in. It was clear; the recorded material was good enough to keep everyone at bay for the time being-yet anticipating...

Unique talent, singular dedications, cooperative vision and collective harmony...it is now 2003, the band re-emerges- DOZZ!

Under the guidance of Pierre-Henry Jospitre doing the vocals and Michael Célestin on keyboards again, with the addition of Makarios Césaire on guitars reinforced with a full band, merging was done to create the second album of DOZZ.

The synthesis proved to be spectacular. With chemistry on cue, undying dedication, creativity took flight. An unusual sound was produced thanks to the several artists offering each their respective expertise in putting together this collage. The album is a musical recital of a unique kind under the attentive ears of producer and arranger Makarios Césaire along with co-producers/arrangers Michael Célestin and Pierre-Henry Jospitre. Synchronization is done for an unbelievable audible experience.

The upcoming Cd entitled “Dominé” stands sole testimonial.

With the official release of the second album sometime during the month of June, 2003 DOZZ is proud to offer fourteen tracks (12 songs with 2 Intros) giving one a true retrospective of a new and better kind. Without a doubt, the public will take pleasure in the special delivery by DOZZ. The new album introduces fourteen tracks, each unique but all paying tribute to the core of what the band is all about- Multiplicity, Diversity and harmonious merging of sounds. This album will open a new realm narrowing gaps in world music.

DOZZ is taking an experience known unmistakably to “a new direction."

DOZZ

Ca fait déjà dix ans depuis que ce groupe musical a été formé. Pour le plaisir de tous les amoureux du rythme Kompa, la formation allait sortir son premier disque compact (CD) intitulé Ou sé la vi. C’est en effet, à New York, sous la supervision de Pierre-Henry Jospitre, les co-fondateurs Georges Duperval et Hubert Florent que parût le premier album de la fabuleuse formation musicale DOZZ. A ce projet participèrent les musiciens suivants: Pierrette Templier, Nathaniel Villefranche, Alix Tiphaine, Mario Egalité, Ervé Pétion, Roland Chassagne, Maximilien François, Théophile Jadotte et tant d’autres artistes invités.

Suite à la sortie de ce premier disque compact, le groupe ne s’est que très sporadiquement produit “live” dans quelques îles des caraïbes et en France. On comprendra donc que, localement, DOZZ ne percera pas au grand jour. En raison d’autres engagements professionnels de Pierre-Henry Jospitre, le groupe a dû interrompre ses performances scéniques.

N’ayant laissé comme témoignage que son unique album, le groupe a tranquillement glissé dans l’ombre. Malgré tout, la qualité musicale de l’album lui permit de traverser une décennie dans le cœur des nombreux fans nostalgiques, restés sur leur faim.

Talent unique, attachements singuliers, vision coopérative et harmonie collective. On est maintenant en 2003 et DOZZ renaît de ses cendres, toujours sous la direction de Pierre-Henry Jospitre, chanteur, de Michael Célestin aux claviers et avec l'addition de Makarios Césaire renforcé d’un orchestre complet. La fusion parfaite pour créer le deuxième album de DOZZ!

La synthèse s'est avérée spectaculaire. Avec cette chimie et cet indéniable complicité, la créativité a pris son envol; chaque artiste ayant apporté son expertise respective pour créer un son exceptionnel.

L'album est un considérant musical d'une portée unique. Sous les oreilles attentives du producteur et arrangeur Makarios Césaire avec les co-producteurs/arrangeurs Michael Célestin et Pierre-Henry Jospitre, la synchronisation est faite pour une expérience audible incroyable!
